With our high-speed backbone between the U.S.A. and Japan , KDDI America provides fast and reliable access to the Internet. This service is available in dedicated or analog / ISDN version.

Benefits

Cost-effective Access: Dial-up access is the most economical and easiest connection to Internet but has limitations on the speed. Also, dedicated Internet Access (DIA) brings faster and more reliable access to the Internet. These types of access are available domestically or internationally.
Various Speeds Available: Depending on your needs, we can provide access service at various speeds: Dial-up (Analog/ISDN), 1.5M on T1, 6-45M on DS3, 10Base-T/100Base-TX, and Gigabit Ethernet.
24-hour Maintenance Support: Our Network system is monitored and maintained by our engineers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 365 days a year.
Bilingual User Assistance: This service is available both in English and in Japanese.

Dial-up Access

This is the most economical and easiest connection to the Internet. You can connect to the Internet using your analog line modems or ISDN terminal adaptors. Just plug in to phone line, dial a KDDI America, Inc. provided access number and you can explore World Wide Web, write e-mails, and much more.

Dedicated Internet Access

Dedicated Internet Access is available at various speeds: 1.5M on T1, 6-45M on DS3, 10Base-T/100Base-TX, and Gigabit Ethernet. Price varies depending on speeds and locations. Please ask your sales representative for price estimation.

Roaming Access

Mobile Access Service: You can connect to the Internet using toll-free access numbers wherever you are in the U.S.A. Even when you cannot find local access numbers, you can connect to the Internet without paying long distance call charges.*
Global Roaming Access Service: While you are visiting other countries, you can still have an access to the Internet and check your e-mails. This service is provided through KDDI's Internet access services network.

Optional Services

Additional E-mail Account: You can add multiple e-mail accounts to one access account.
Additional PPP Account: Dedicated access users will also have dial-up access accounts which can be used as backup. This service is useful for business customers who go on business trips.
Personal Domain Name: If you want to use your personal domain name other than @kdd.net for your e-mail addresses, or for establishing your own Web site, etc., you need to register your own domain name through registrars accredited by ICANN. KDDI America will undertake this procedure for JapanNet users.

Process

Process for Dial-up Access

1. Application forms must be submitted.

2. Your account will be ready in about 2 business days after the application form is submitted.

Process for Leased Circuit Access

Agreement is signed and submitted.
Order is generated and Information is gathered for each location, such as address and phone number and contact person.
KDDIA contact a local carrier to coordinate the service end to end.
The service will be ready in about 20 business days after the application form is accepted.**
